Underwear Options for Men
Many men go through life, never thinking to move past the simple boxer or even considering that there might well be underwear choices better suited to their figure and style.
However, increasingly, a number of men are beginning to think outside the box and include a little variety in their underwear selection – whether the reason be for increased comfort,
fun, or simply just change. So, with that in mind we have written the following as an introduction guide to the different underwear options, styles and brands that are currently available
for men.
Boxers and briefs are where most men traditionally feel at their most comfortable, with the two styles becoming the mainstay of the men`s underwear industry. Almost all manufacturers
of men`s underwear, such as Gigo, Clever Moda, Olaf Benz and other such brands have their core lines of boxers and briefs, together forming the centre of the men`s underwear market.
The key difference between the two styles is essentially size related; boxers are most usually larger, traditionally looser-fitting and evolved rather later than briefs (out of a desire
to make men`s underwear somewhat less restrictive.) With this said, it is important to note that recent trends have edged increasingly toward tighter, elasticated boxers in favour of
the older, looser-fitting style.
For those men who appreciate the feel and comfort of boxers or briefs, but are after something a little more racy or daring in appeal, then
recent development in men`s underwear fashion have them well-catered for. Hipsters (or `hips`) are arguably the closet to boxers or briefs out of the more scanty types of men`s underwear,
offering ample support and comfort but without draping the wearer in excess material. Particular brands to look for include HOM, Ergowear and Bruno Banani – all of whom have won a name
for themselves for making underwear that pays equal attention to both fashion and comfort concerns.
If after a truly `out there` form of underwear that gives the ultimate sense of freedom to the wearer, then G-strings and thongs are most likely the best option for the confidant man.
Both these styles place emphasis on minimising the materials used so as to reduce any constriction or discomfort, resulting in a very lightweight style of underwear. Popular labels
currently making G-strings and thongs for men include MANstore, Mundo Unico and Greg Homme, with the underwear of each of these labels typically being very well designed and made.
However, there are a number of other brands who, too, commonly offer such styles. Accordingly, it is often best to shop around on the high street and in the larger department stores
rather than ordering directly from the manufacturer. And, of course, taking this route also means that shoppers are free to pick up a few extra bits and pieces such
as
Adidas designer clothes whilst still out on the high street.
